It takes me hours some times days to lay out my designs
I start with my first layer of resin and adding flowers or cruelty free butterfly wings.
This is my least favorite portion of my resin work. Sanding and prepping each piece for the second layer of resin takes forever.
I spend hours sanding off the overhanging flowers and any resin that may have seeped out and then pour a second layer.
If all went well on Day 2 I won't have to do any sanding on day 3. I can just flip them over and add the final layer. On Day 4 I drill them and make them into jewelry.
On this final day I drill the holes, clean up the resin dust & make each piece into wearable art!
This is how a start to patina my raw brass. Over a several week process I will clean them and add a variety of different solutions to give them different colors and a one-of-a-kind aged look.
I check each piece every couple days or so to see if there are areas of the brass that are getting missed. I keep treating them anywhere from 4-8 weeks.
